We use only the highest quality grains that have passed our strict quality control tests.
The main ingredient of our mixture is Groats (Peeled Oats), which are whole oats with the husk removed but with the oat kernel and it’s outer bran left intact.
The Groats are then stabilised by a heat treatment to give them a longer shelf-life.
The high crude protein content of groats averages 14% in comparison to that of Wheat with 12%. This optimal protein level helps significantly with muscle and feather growth.
Groats have excellent health benefits as they are high in Protein, Vitamins A & E, and Antioxidants. Oats have the highest good fat content of all grains with 9% compared to Wheat with 3% giving the birds the energy boosts needed for growth and powerful flight.
On introducing birds who have primarily been reared on Pellets, it is advisable to use a combination of Beattie’s Game & Poultry Mixtures with the remaining Grower Pellets.
This will help wean them off pellets onto whole seeds and reduce selective feeding.
