Scaly-face mites and air sac mites are common infections in ornamental birds such as budgerigars, finches, and canaries.
Scatt is a safe and effective treatment for scaly face mites (Knemidokoptes pilae) and air sac mites (Sternostoma tracheacolum) and protects birds from mite infestation and keratin damage that could lead to ongoing health problems and permanent deformities if left untreated.

Directions:
Scaly Face: Apply in a single application 1 to 2 drops depending on the size of the bird (1 drop per 30g body weight) to the bare skin between the shoulders. Treat all birds, re-assess in 21 days and re-treat if necessary. It may take up to six weeks for effects of the treatment to become noticeable.

Warning: Use only one drop for smaller birds like Canaries and Finches. Overdosing birds with more than 2 drops can be
fatal.
Air Sac Mite: (mainly Canaries & Finches) Apply in a single application 1 to 2 drops depending on the size of the bird (1 drop per 30g body weight), to the bare skin between the shoulders. For best results ensure re-treatment is carried out 3 to 4 times per year.
